Starting today, I'm going to post once a week showing the lunches I packed for that past week. My college classes changed last week and now I'm attending a full day, plus I started a part time job yesterday. With four kids and my trucker husbands crazy schedule, my life is even crazier! HA! :)

 

So every Saturday, expect a post full of lunch pictures!

FunBites- Triangles Review & Giveaway

Besides the lunchbox, one of the most important tools in making lunch fun is the cutter.

Whether it's for a sandwich, fruit, vegetables, lunchmeat, pancakes... these cutters do it all!

 

 

While the FunBites line has a few other cutters (green squares, red or purple hearts)...

in this post, we'll be talking about the new orange triangle cutter.

 

This cutter makes: 10 triangles, 2 big and 8 small.

 

These cutters are extremely easy to use!

L: Press outside piece onto item, rock side-to-side

In this lunch I used the FunBites Triangle cutter to make ham sandwich stackers.

Triangle cutter to make an open faced bologna boat.

Field Trip Lunch

Today I accompanied Audrey on her field trip to Meramec Caverns.

We had a blast!

 

They asked for everyone to bring a sack lunch but since I went along,

I packed like I usually do and carried it.

 

 

 

As usual I used our Easylunchboxes.

And I might add that I'm proud she went for her salad first.

She loves it. I swear she can eat it all day/every day!

Recently we took a trip to the zoo. I wanted to try to create a couple animals from there.

These were the first two that came to mind.

Chobani Champions Review & Giveaway

I received an offer to do a review for the Champions line of greek yogurt from Chobani.

Of course, being a lunch packing mom of 4 little ones, I said yes!

 

They sent me 2 different cases.

One of the original Cups, and one of the new product... Tubes.

 

Cups:

Vanilla Chocolate Chunk, Orange Vanilla, Banana Honey, Very Berry

Tubes:

Flavors: Strawberry banana, Blueberry, Cherry, Strawberry.

 

The verdict:

My kids gobbled them up!

So fast, in fact, that I had to buy more just so I could get them in some lunch pictures.



 

The tubes freeze awesomely, (which is how I prefer to pack them) and were perfect by lunch time!

We will continue to buy this yummy goodness!

Sorry for my absenteeism. My laptop broke and have't been able to get another yet, and soon after that I started college as a medical student. I'm in my second quarter now so I've kinda got an idea on what to expect so I am able to manage my time better. With that being said, I'm coming back regulary very soon!

I've got a custom design in the works and some giveaways planned, so stay tuned!

A Thankful Blog Hop

We're (The BentoBloggers&Friends group) at it again!
This time, we are all making a lunch based on something we are thankful for.

I am thankful for Thanksgivivng itself. 

While we should be thankful everyday, I am happy there's a day specifically for families/friends to get together and share those happy thankful thoughts.

So I went with traditional dinner sides.

A turkey turkey sandwich (haha, get it? thats not a mistake),
apple and orange slices, turkey stuffing, green beans/corn.
And I threw in a gogurt. Water to drink (not pictured)

My Bento Gear & Storage

Now that I finally have quite the bento collection, I feel as though I can really post a Bento Gear & Storage post. My last one... well, I had just started and I guess was really a waste of blog space. If you read it, I'm sorry! HaHa!

{Keep in mind this current house is temporary so this will all change come February!}

First ill start with my drawer:

This holds my 2 egg molds, my Hello Kitty rice mold, EasyLunchboxes dipping cups and Goodbyn dipping cups, silicone cupcake cups, My Square Meal lunch box, cloth napkins, a baggie of "special" picks (Something my Bento Bloggers & Friends group is working on) and a baggie with my silicon baran and soy sauce bottles.

Next is my cabinet:

This space holds everything else.

Such as:

Top row from left: A small stack of other miscellaneous boxes, my mountain (I actually have more whats pictured... I heart them!) of EasyLunchboxes, My ELB lids and 2 pink Goodbyn Byntos, and...

My holiday bucket.

This holds all my holiday cutters, picks and silicone cups.

My sandwich cutters include FunBites, The Lunch Punch, Evriholder, 

CuteZCute and a couple regular cutters.

The big holder is for my regular sized picks, top is for my mini picks.

And finally my mini shape cutters, face/arm cutters and alphabet cutters.

Oh, and don't forget my background paper up against the side!

A Look Into My {Bento} Future

Tomorrow is a big day for us! 

Callie has been fighting some rashes for the past few months so we 

have a 4 hour round trip to a pediactric dermatologist. 

Hopefully we come home with some answers!

I made her a lunch of crackers, turkey, cornchips and an apple.

(She's 2 and never has much of an appettite) 

This was the first time I used this box (from my last bento shipment) and 

I was excited to have a bag that it fit into perfectly.

Making bento lunches for Audrey & Raeleigh isn't anything new. 

They have crackers, turkey, BBQ chips, watermelon balls and some fruit snacks.

Jonathan is going to my SIL's. I thought while I was already making

 lunches for the other 3, I'd make one for him too!

He has crackers, turkey, goldfish original, watermelon balls, gogurt and fruit snacks.

This is actually the first time Ive ever made all 4 kids a bento lunch at the same time

(usually the babies just eat off of paper plates at home).

With what I saw, I realized this is my bento future!
